In Neihu, there is a building amongst a cacophony of visual
noise that rises to a crescendo above it all. The classical
music instrument inspired design was crafted in response to
a still developing environment in an effort to set the tone of
what could be. It’s light color, floor to ceiling windows, and
sweeping entrance offers sanctuary and shelter while still
connecting respectfully with the urban environment at a
human level and scale.
Light and Nature are actors that have the ability to increase happiness, reduce stress and anxiety, boost the immune system, improve sleep quality, increase intelligence and improve well-being. In recognition, the Embrace of Light enables an enhanced awareness of changes in season, the time of the day, an allowance for a penetration of light when and where needed all whilst filtering heat as well as the possibility to touch, observe and nurture natural beings from different spaces. These in aggregate facilitate unique ways of establishing relationships with Light and Nature, resulting in a superior quality of life.
