Located on Zhongshan North Road-one of Taipei’s most iconic and tree-lined avenues–the Zhongshan 211 Residential Building is set within a privileged urban environment where greenery shapes both the landscape and daily experience.
The building responds to strict height regulations due to its proximity to the airport, while also meeting high development potential that demands maximum site coverage. These technical constraints become an opportunity to create a compact, efficient, and high-standard architectural solution.
The program combines Serviced Apartments aimed at a discerning clientele with a commercial zone on the first two floors, activating the street level and contributing vibrancy to the immediate surroundings.
Residential units are organized into three main typologies, each designed to enhance the specific qualities of its orientation:
West facade: units optimized to enjoy views of the adjacent park, offering a living experience immersed in urban greenery.
South facade: residences that benefit from optimal thermal conditions and natural light, with passive protection against summer solar radiation.
Main facade (Zhongshan N. Rd.): units that celebrate the avenue’s views, with windows extended outward to maximize the visual field and natural light. Large windows equipped with curtains and low emissivity glass allow residents to fully enjoy the lush canopy of trees lining the street, without compromising privacy or energy efficiency.
Zhongshan 211 is an architecture born from the dialogue between regulation, context, and quality of life. It offers a sophisticated residential experience in one of Taipei’s greenest and most distinguished urban corridors.
