SHIDA RESIDENTIAL
Located across from the Taipei Hakka Cultural Park, in the heart of the city, the Shida Road Residential Building offers a high-end residential experience that fully embraces its privileged surroundings. From its units, residents enjoy exceptional views of Taipei 101, Hakka Park, and Guting Riverside Park-three defining elements of Taipei’s urban and natural landscape.
The building faces the Shuiyuan Expressway, a major thoroughfare that separates the site from Hakka Park. To soften its visual impact–especially on the lower floors-the design incorporates vegetation along the facade, creating a natural buffer that enhances visual comfort and eases the relationship between the building and the surrounding infrastructure.
The architectural program combines a commercial zone on the ground floor, which activates the street level, with residential units distributed across the upper floors, featuring six apartments per floor. Each unit is carefully oriented to take advantage of the building’s two most valuable facades:
East facade: offering direct views of Taipei 101 and the city skyline.
South facade: facing Hakka Park and Guting Riverside Park, providing a living experience immersed in greenery and the fluidity of the riverside landscape.
Both facades benefit from excellent solar exposure, allowing for abundant natural light throughout the day. Large windows are strategically positioned to expand the visual field and strengthen the connection between interior and landscape.
This approach not only enhances the spatial quality of the residences but also celebrates the unique views offered by the site.
Shida Road Residential Building transforms urban constraints into design opportunities, delivering a refined, light-filled living experience deeply connected to its environment.
